Annual(ish) Haircut

Well, folks, the time for my annual haircut came and went, and my hair was getting a little long for me. So, I had a very pleasant visit to Panopolous Salons on Cascade Road.

I’ve never really had a non-awkward haircut. The hairdressers and I always try to make conversation, but I’ve never really clicked with any of them. So it’s always an awkward time. But, not this time! Yay! I had a very nice girl named Austen, who happens to be a Christian. Isn’t it funny/cool how just that one fact can be the common denominator that begins a good conversation? Anyway, I had a nice, relaxing time while she cut my hair.

I didn’t take a “before” picture, so here’s the latest picture of me with my long hair. (It just so happens that it was taken while Caleb and I were “riding bikes” in the basement. Yes, that’s Grace’s little bike I’m on. No, it didn’t break when I sat on it. Just in case you were curious.) : – )

And here’s the “after!” It’s not as dramatic as last time – which was over 16 months ago! Anyway, what do you think?

I got my haircut last night, too!! At an Aveda salon in Holt, I love my hairstylist! Mine’s a bit more dramatic than yours, but mainly just the back (short!!). I like yours, did you get it colored?

    Zachary says: “Looks good.”

Elyse says: “It really looks nice. How are Grace, Caleb and Ava doing? How is Luke doing?”

Mom says: I LOVE IT! You are gorgeous! Blue is one of your colors. Notice that the last time and this time you got your hair cut you are wearing blue. I just got my hair cut last week too. Yesterday, I didn’t use the curling iron, just left it curly. A lady from church commented how much she liked my perm (me, perm, lol). I told her it wasn’t a perm, just handmade by God. She was amazed. Doesn’t she remember Betsey & Erin’s hair – whatever! Where do you think they got theirs from, the mailman? Enough for now. Love your new do!

Hey, is “anonymous” Chaeli this time? Holt is near Lansing, right? Anyway, nope, I didn’t get it
    colored. It’s still the original color! : – )

    Lovely, Lacey! As always.

Whoever got their hair done at the Aveda salon, I’m jealous. I could’ve gone to one, but I went to a cheaper place instead and had some old lady with no sense of style cut mine. Pretty sure she didn’t know anything about hair, either. Booooooo. Alas, I have nothing worth showing off.

    But you look great, Lace!

    Love you,
    Bet-Z

  6. Erin says:

ooo, lacey, it’s gorgeous! wow, your hair was super long before you got it cut. you look beautiful, and i’m glad you had a good time at the salon too.

  7. Erin Morgan says:

I like the haircut. I think I like your hair shorter rather than longer. I think it shows off your face much better! Congrats! Isn’t it so liberating to have it cut off? Even if its just a bit.

The before picture is awesome. It made me smile.

Love it! You look like quite the stylish mama! I am longing to cut mine but am in a wedding in July and another in October so I’m really trying to wait until after…I don’t know if I can do it though, especially after seeing your’s!
