FHBC Ladies’ Christmas Tea

Last night was our church’s annual Ladies’ Christmas Tea. This is my fourth year attending, but only my first year to “hostess” a table. It wasn’t a huge responsibility – just decorate the table, be there early to greet the people sitting at the table, and try to make the evening enjoyable for all the ladies at your table.

Of course I forgot to take a picture of the table before we ate our goodies, but here is the centerpiece at least. I also used my everyday dishes (white with a silver rim) on red placemats, and I put little party favors on each plate (cellophane baggie with homemade thin mints, tied with a red ribbon). I stressed about it for a while, because I don’t have a lot of Christmas decor, but it ended up being fun!

I was blessed to have my neighbor/friend Michele come to the Tea this year. She’s the one beside me, with the dark hair. And the other beautiful lady is Jennifer, who sat with us and also gave her testimony in front of the whole group. She did a great job! It was a refreshing night of fellowship, encouragement, and yummy desserts! They even had men there this year to help us to and from our cars, and brush the snow off before we left! What a treat!

Your church is amazing! They really do things right by your family. Thanks for the pictures, I will try to print the outside one. I need more special paper though. I will get that tonight. Thanks for the fun pictures of your ladies’ tea. You are very creative. You won’t have any trouble teaching your children at home. You are amazing!

Your table decorations look great! This makes me miss our old church in GR. I hosted the Mother’s Day/Spring tea each year. It was a lot of work but always so worth it to see the ladies come in and enjoy having some girly tea time for a couple hours.
