Good diaper deal!

YAY! Just after posting about my stress-inducing diaper situation (i.e. having three kids in diapers come May, and needing to stock up), I ran across a great deal on diapers. Actually, it’s diapers.com. I have heard of this site before but never felt motivated to sign up. Without a discount code or rebate, the diaper prices really aren’t great. BUT, we’re in luck! I have BOTH a discount code and a rebate offer for you! Hooray!

Here’s the deal…Put $49 worth of merchandise (I did diapers) in your shopping cart. This will qualify you for free shipping. Then enter the referral code CXUP2655 to get $10 off your order. (This also gives me a credit toward my next purchase.) Then, send in this rebate form to get another $14.95 back. (If you can’t get that page to load, I can email you a pdf of the form.)

There are MANY scenarios you can do, but here’s what I ended up with:
Pampers Baby Dry Extra Large Case with 252 size 1 diapers (with an automatic $1 coupon from diapers.com) AND
Luvs Ultra Leakguard Jumbo Pack with 50 size 2 diapers

I paid $39.98, with free shipping, and will get back $14.95 in a rebate check. That means I got 302 diapers for $25.03 – 8.2 cents/diaper! That’s a steal!

Let me know if you do this deal!

P.S. If you don’t have kids in diapers, this would be a wonderful gift for someone who is expecting!

Organize me!

Baby Jaden is now due in less than three months, and my list of things to do before he arrives is growing! I realize he’ll come whether I’m “ready” or not, but I am seriously starting to stress about getting it all done. Most days I feel like a champion just for keeping up with the three kiddos I already have to chase, as well as getting a modicum of housework done. So, how will I ever get my list accomplished?

I need some serious Clean Sweep help. Or something.

Here’s a short run-down of “The Nesting List:”
1. Get a bed/mattress/bedding for Ava. Set it up in the big kids’ room, and get her comfortable sleeping there before J comes.
2. Organize the basement. (This one deserves a post all its own!)
3. Organize pretty much every other area of the house, none of which are as horrific as the basement.
4. Prepare and freeze food for after J’s arrival – breakfast foods (waffles, banana bread), as well as dinners (taco meat, sloppy joe meat, lasagna, etc, etc).
5. Stock up on diapers and wipes at bargain prices. (I don’t know why this part is stressing me out, but I just dread having to buy diapers for THREE children. I really feel like I need to get a head start in order to not destroy our budget come May.)

SO…

Does anyone have inspiration, motivation, or just plain energy to give? The countdown is on!

Nerd check-in

Luke checking in here, blogging from my iPod Touch. : – )

I mostly just want to see if I can – sorry for those looking for good coupons. I’ve got nothing…

RISEN mini-reunion

For those of you who may not know, Luke was in an improv comedy group in college (at Cornerstone University) called RISEN. They were (and still are) hilarious. They are just the right personalities for improv, and have been great friends. They even performed a dinner show at our wedding reception, which was oh-so-fun. Sadly, we haven’t seen them for at least four years (more for some of them). So, we were excited to have a mini-reunion at our friend Terre’s house last night. (“Mini” because we were still missing two members – Erin and Kyle.)

Here are a couple of pictures from the crazy night. (You can see more on Facebook if we’re friends.)…

Left to right: Luke, Trina, Murphy, and Wendy.

RISEN as pictured above, plus Seth (Trina’s husband) and Grace, Caleb, Ava, and me!

Thank you, Terre, for hosting! As a non-improver, I understand how CRAZY and LOUD and WACKY this group can get! :-)

Beware of babytobee.com!

I have avoided signing up for many sites that offer free samples and coupons, because they look like predators. Well, yesterday I went against my better judgment and signed up for babytobee.com. Today I received a call to “verify my information,” and they kept me on the phone with MULTIPLE offers from their advertisers that they were sure I’d need. I said yes to their free baby coupons/samples (which is what I signed up for yesterday), and had to say no to a myriad of other annoying offers – home improvement, moving teams, credit cards, jewelry, free trials for services like Netflix, blah, blah, blah…I hope nothing worse comes out of me signing up for this stupid “service.” Maybe I should try to unsubscribe? Anyone else ever try babytobee.com?
