Even though yesterday I was just four days from my due date, you’d have found me happily waddling around the aisles of Meijer, gathering amazing deals.
Here’s what I ended up with:
Spent – $29.24
Saved – $137.07
Earned – $4 “On Your Next Shopping Order” and 2 Free Crystal Lights (up to $4.99 each)
The Meijer I visited was completely out of the Oscar Mayer hot dogs, so I got a rain check for later. I will look again when I’m out tomorrow, though, and I heard a rumor that the Marketplace Meijer (68th and K-zoo) has them in stock. (Thanks, Debbie D.!) I have coupons to get somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 packages, which is 300 hot dogs. That grosses me out a little bit, to think about our family eating 300 hot dogs!
There’s a great deal on Nestle Refrigerated Cookie Dough, too. I LOVE to make cookies from scratch, but thought this might come in handy after Jaden’s born (for a quick, easy treat). And the packages end up being $.45 each! Not bad!
That’s all for now; I promise!
(P.S. For those interested, Baby J is due in three days, yet I’m not having any consistent contractions. Since our babies are usually about a week late, you might have to be patient for about another week and a half! My WONDERFUL sister-in-law and her hubby {Emily and Dan} are coming Saturday to help clean the house and get ready for baby, so I need Jaden to wait until after that! I’ll update more as things progress.)

WOW! I bet your tired now:) I need to get back to Meijer, but I am afraid there wont be anything left and I will have wasted my time.
Way to go Lacey! Thanks for posting your deals- I totally missed some of the ones you caught!! Question though- what are you going to do with all that mayonnaise? I didn’t buy much of that because they all had expiration dates around 09/2009.
Chaeli – We’re going to be eating A LOT of mayonnaise sandwiches! Ha – just kidding! Gross! I plan to keep enough of it for my cooking needs (mostly for dips, etc), and then give the rest away to family, friends, church family, etc. Honestly, I don’t use Miracle Whip much if at all, so I’ll be giving most of that to my sister and her hubby. It looks like a lot, but remember we’re a family of SIX (five grocery-consumers, anyway)!
Tosha – Make sure you get rainchecks when they’re out of stock! They’ve been very nice about giving those, and I believe they are valid for one month.
