A couple of weeks ago, one of Grace’s bottom teeth moved so it was pretty crooked. Luke and I bemoaned the very real possibility that someday our children might need braces. (I had them for about a year and a half in junior high. Luke’s teeth are just naturally straight. Lucky.)
And then her tooth got really wiggly. And we realized why it was crooked. Duh. Another tooth was pushing it from below.
And – TA-DA! Now our firstborn has one less tooth than before.
Not to get all sentimental on you, but goodness, it seems like just yesterday she got her first tooth! How’d we get to this stage already?

Awww, Grace is growing up. One reason I told my kids they couldn’t turn five! My favorite part of motherhood – pulling teeth (jk).
Mom is not just kidding. Pulling teeth is her favorite part of motherhood. Congratulations, Grace!
Now, I want to hear a debate about the Tooth Fairy.
Did Grace put it under the pillow and get money?
Tooth fairy debate? We do put the tooth under the pillow, we do give money (50 cents a tooth), but we do NOT have a tooth fairy. The kids know it is Mom who usually forgets to put the money under their pillow. If I do remember to put the money there, they can’t figure out how I do that without waking them up. Amazing what you can do with an unconscious kid!
We’ll put the tooth fairy under the pillow.
