Last weekend, Luke, Grace, Caleb, and I were able to go pick strawberries at DK Orchards in Conklin, MI. (Thank you SO much, Wendy, for watching Ava and Jaden – it made things SO much easier!)
We picked 12 quarts at $1.25/quart. This made 12 jars of freezer jam, 2 4-cup baggies of sliced berries for shortcake, about a gallon freezer bag full of individually frozen berries, and a bowl full of fresh, sliced berries for our consumption. We love strawberries!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I’m a little jealous of your helpers!
Wow! I want to eat the pictures, but if I did my glucose level would go to high.
And your laptop would cry. Or would you print them first. I think they make edible paper / ink. Hmmm…
yum! Kaitlin, Mckenna and I went pick’n last wk w/ my neighbor (who doesn’t have kids but loves to help w/ mine!). It was our first time so i’m only making a little jam but next yr we plan on picking more. We may even plant some of our own, i’ll let u know how it goes if we do! I have to check out your place. I think it was cheaper than Krups where we went!
There IS edible paper! And ink! Cake makers use it (I suppose they call them bakers). I only know because we’ve been watching cake shows on Netflix recently. We got in the mood to make cake, but then I made way too much chocolate icing. So we had graham cracker/pb/chocolate icing sandwiches for a while. Still have a little left. That’s all I’ve got.
