Well, it’s official. Homeschooling, and the Spell to Write and Read program in particular, really does work. Proof is below…
I should clarify. Grace has read sentences before, made up of her spelling words. (She has mastered 70 spelling words now.) But in the video she’s reading a little primary reader that she’s never seen before today, with words she’s never formally learned. She read through 2-1/2 little readers (books) before taking a break. GOOD JOB, GRACIE!
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a reader!

Good Job, Grace (and teacher!!) I can’t get over how much grace looks like your younger sister, Lacey!!
Gracie, you’re doing such a good job! What a hard worker! I am so proud of you. Some day you’ll have to come to my classroom and help me teach my 7th graders how to read as well as you!
You’re doing great.
Lace – one of my favorite parts is Jaden screeching for joy in the background.
What a happy guy!
love,
Aunt Betsey
Grace, you are amazing! Now you will be able to read to Elyse when we see you next time. Good job! Love hearing all the advances of my grandchildren. Love you all!
I just noticed that you have Jayden, then Ava, then Grace on your blog. Now we need something about Caleb. Then we will be all set.
Whoops, I spelled Jaden wrong!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! Child prodigy!
GOOD JOB, Grace! That is super fantastic. I am so proud of you!
Lacey, good job with the home schooling!
Ava and Grace, you are AWESOME! Keep up the good work!!
And Lacey, have you ever heard of a store in Holland called The Bridge? They take in wares/crafts from other countries, sell them and send the profits back. One of our T&T girls was wearing some of the cutest stuff from there. Thought you might be interested since it is in your neck of the world. Google it for more info I think.
