Rockin’ it at CVS

I used to LOVE CVS. But I officially “quit” CVS in November of 2008, because there aren’t any CVS stores in a convenient location for us (and it was killing me to try to keep up with my ECBs without them expiring).

Well, we went there for a great deal on batteries last month. (We have to stay stocked on AAs and AAAs for Luke’s and Grace’s insulin pumps.) That trip gained me $10 ECB (Extra Care Bucks for those of you non-CVSers. They’re pretty much in-store credit coupons, to be used on almost any merchandise.) I also received $2 ECB for filling out a survey as a CVS Advisor Panel participant.

The $10 expires today, so we trekked to CVS yesterday, and it was GREAT! Almost made me miss playing the CVS game.

Spent – $1.78
Saved – $59.54

This included -
5 Puffs tissues
7 Dawn Hand Renewal dish soaps
2 4-packs of Charmin
1 32oz Crest rinse
2 CoverGirl lip glosses
1 Blade razor

Woo-hoo! Thank you, Lord, for your provisions!

WHOA. Those are some pretty sweet deals. I think I may need a coupon tutoring session this summer. I now live right across the street from a Meijer!!! Yay – no more crappy Wal-Mart produce!

    Nice work, Lacey!

    Good job, Lacey!

Betsey – we have this amazing store called “Garden Fresh Market.” They have the BEST produce. Their day-old stuff is still good for a week. We buy all our bananas from the day-old rack. If it starts to go bad, we just peel them freeze them, and make smoothies or bread.

Lacey – I want a lesson on coupons as well!

Betsey, I’m on it. I’d love to teach you the ins and outs of couponing. Especially with Meijer. I love great deals at Meijer!

  4. {lacey} says:

You can get in on the “session,” too, MOM!

I guess we were commenting at the same time – I didn’t see yours until I submitted mine! Oops!

  5. No ma’am. Walmart’s produce is sublime, compared to the commissary. :) But I’ll admit, Publix & even Kroger do a much better job, especially with things like asparagus.

I am jealous about the Meijer, though. No such thing down here (or Kroger…and Publix is just expensive).

Wow lacey what a great trip you had to cvs…….I also need a lesson in coupons. I do have to thank you for being such a good steward of the money that God has given you, in that I bought the sunday paper to get the coupons. I also regestered at couponmom.com. If you have any more helpful tips I would love to hear some! May God continue to bless you!
