Friends are friends forever…

Remember that song? :-)

No, really, Jana and I have been friends for 28-1/2 years, since we met in the church nursery when we were newborns. (She’s 24 days older than me, so she knew the ropes by the time I got there.)

And I’m so blessed that she’s still a part of my life! There’s something so comforting about having a friend who has known you literally your entire life. I don’t have to work hard to explain myself to her very often!

So, I was able to visit her a few weeks ago, and all of us had a blast! Her kiddos are ADORABLE, and her 2-year-old is the smartest one I’ve ever met!

Here are a couple of pictures…

Yes, we’re still friends.

If you happen to get on Facebook and notice that we’re not friends anymore (assuming we were friends in the first place), it’s not a Facebook glitch or a user error. And it’s not because I don’t like you anymore.

I’m just taking a Facebook sabbatical. I’ve found that I spend FAR TOO MUCH time with my nose in the laptop and FAR TOO LITTLE time on the floor with my children. And isn’t this the perfect season of life (and the perfect time of year) to spend a lot of time on the floor with my kiddos?

So I deactivated my account. Hopefully this will help.

So, yes, I still love you.

I’ll be back on Facebook…eventually…maybe.

Roomie

I recently found this picture, as I was looking through old albums. (Remember pre-digital days when we actually used to – gasp! – PRINT pictures?! Luke actually had to scan it for me!)

It makes me smile.

It’s me with my college roommate, Chaeli, on our way to Midnight Madness. My best guess for a date is October 2002.

That girl and I had some side-splitting, hilarious, fall-down-laughing times in college.

Ah, who doesn’t love a quick stroll down memory lane?

Friends and Football

Okay, so this picture is late in coming, since people have long since forgotten the Superbowl. (Old news!) But I am still thankful for my good friends, who the Lord allowed me to meet at our church. Here are four of my closest girlfriends at a Superbowl party last week.
