This past Sunday evening, we headed out to Grand Haven to hear an old college mate, Rick Hopkins, play music for Worship on the Waterfront. It started out being a little hot, but as the sun descended and the breeze came in…it was perfect!
We started the evening with some ice cream. Never a bad idea on a hot summer day.

We were also able to meet up with some other college friends, the Rosses, for part of the evening. Here, Grace is holding their youngest, Zeke. They unintentionally wore matching outfits! ![]()

After a while, we moved up in the bleachers, and this was our better view…

..including the cross and the sunset across the channel. Perfect view for worshiping our awesome God.

Here’s a little snippet of a fun song that Rick wrote. I liked this one, even though it’s not really typical of his style. If you want to hear more, there are free downloads on his website.
